You’re a lover of cats, we're lovers of cats, and supporting those organizations that do amazing work for our feline friends is one of our passions. Kitty Kasas was launched by the founders of the ARNI Foundation, which is a 20-year-old non-profit animal rescue shelter. After an exhaustive search for pet products that would be practical in a shelter environment, they decided to manufacture their own line that would be practical, stylish, and ‘shelter-tough.’ Caring for animals is deeply embedded in Kitty Kasas' DNA and there are many other organizations out there doing great work. Here are just a few fabulously feline-friendly groups!

World Vets

You’ve heard of Doctors Without Borders, well, this is the animal equivalent. World Vets provides international aid for animals who would otherwise not have access to veterinary care. They provide support through field service programs that include; spay/neuter treatments, disaster response programs, training programs, and civil-military humanitarian aid. Working in 46 countries and 6 continents, they state, “At the core of World Vets’ values is the belief that all animals deserve kindness and compassion. ... we never lose sight of how critically important it is to provide a profound level of kindness and excellent care to each individual animal.”

Best Friends Animal Society

Having been around for over 30 years, Best Friends has a pretty lofty goal; “Bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets.” They are the largest no-kill animal sanctuary and help reduce the number of furry critters brought into shelters in the first place. Housing about 1,600 animals in the Sanctuary, with over 20,000 acres of space, Best Friends also takes on advocacy work like saving Community Cats. Their "Trap-Neuter-Release" (or TNR) method entails trapping, neutering, vaccinating, and returning community cats to their original outdoor locations. This method ensures that community cats can live out their lives, healthier and happier.

Other Ways to Give to Pet Charities

There are tons of ways to give to shelters and rescue organizations around the country.

  • Amazon Smile; same shopping experience, but different URL and you select a charity of your choice to get a portion of the proceeds.
  • Time; just about any organization will gladly accept your time and the animals will happily accept some pets and cuddles! If you’re a clean freak, then they can definitely use any amount of help in that department.
  • PetSmart Charities; they facilitate nearly 1 of 10 adoptions nationwide, which is especially helpful during kitten season when kittens enter shelters at alarming rates.
  • Kitty Kasas; Kitty Kasa actively works with the ARNI Foundation for their monthly "Shelter of the Month" and "Shelter of the Year" donation programs, as well as independent monthly shelter donations.

We love our furry friends and we know you do too! If you have any questions about ARNI or Kitty Kasas, contact us today.
