Did you know Tug-of-War dates back as far as the 12 century BC and was actually an Olympic sport? Free yourself from reading boring factoids about Tug-O-War and check out the Jolly Tug line. This ultimate toy puts the "fun" in functionality. Soft to the touch, but hardcore in the squeaky department.
We design our toys to be durable, but no dog toy is indestructible. For safety, you should always supervise while your dog plays with any toy. Remove all packaging and dispose or properly. Parts of this item can be a choking hazard to pets and children if removed from the toy. If any becomes loose, detached, or destroyed, remove the toy and discard immediately.
This has lasted through 4 months of hard play with my 75# lab and her cohorts, and finally gave it up this afternoon. Dismemberment didn't stop my girl from continuing to play with the remains, however. She's just frustrated that it won't squeak anymore, now that the ball is gone!
I just want to say what a fabulous toy the Jolly Tug is for our dogs. Now to be honest all the cloth parts have come off from wear and stearin but our dogs have had endless entertainment from the extremely durable ball inside. It is GENIUS!! They’ve had it for a year and 1/2 and have brutalized it but it keeps squeaking and reinflating it’s self over and over.
If you have a dog that’s a real chewer/tugger I would avoid this one they will grab it and run to a corner and do this in no time flat.
I purchased one of these last year and my girls destroyed it, then kept playing with the destroyed parts. I finally tossed the old one, bought these and hoped for the best. My girls are absolutely LOVING their new toys. No more arguing over who gets the detached handle, now they each grab a handle and play tug-of-war. Excellent purchase, should have bought them sooner.
The extra large is labeled as large so I was under the impression this would be a bit bigger than the ones I saw in stores, but it is the same that is for sale at cal ranch for $3 cheaper. My dogs sadly destroyed this toy in 2 days though they are still playing tug with the ripped pieces.
