Many of us love the company of plants in our home. They add a bit of color and life to our windows and help to keep the air we breathe clean. Many of us, however, also enjoy the company of cats. A lot. Unfortunately, many houseplants that you find can be toxic to cats, some more so than others. So, are we cat lovers never meant to become plant moms or dads?

Of course not!

Here are 10 houseplants that are in fact considered safe around cats.

It’s important to remember that any plant (even grass) has a chance to cause vomiting or gastrointestinal upset if ingested. The ASPCA advises that plants and cats should be monitored, even if they won’t need a vet visit, around your plants for excessive nibbling. It will keep your cat (and your plants!) healthier and happier.
