At Jolly Pets, we are passionate about supporting our canine friends who are waiting to find new homes. To ring in the New Year, we’re excited to announce a new partnership initiative with Barn Dog a company specializing in equine and canine grooming supplies and our sister brand, Barker Beds, which specializes in orthopedic and travel dog beds, to help find more dogs homes in 2025.
Every month, we’ll feature an adoptable dog from a different shelter to get them adopted and raise awareness on the many lovable pets in need of a home. In addition, we will be providing a care package for the family who adopts the featured dog—a thoughtful, ‘welcome home’ gift to help them settle into their new lives together. This care package will include grooming supplies from Barn Dog, fun, interactive toys from Jolly Pets, and a gift card to Barker Beds to get them a bed that comes with a 10 year warranty.
We know that adopting a dog is a big decision, and we want to make the transition into their new home as smooth as possible. By partnering with shelters and rescue organizations, we hope to help bring these deserving dogs the happy endings they’ve been waiting for.

The Humane Society of Summit County is the only local, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to serving animals that are victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment as well as sick and injured strays in Summit County. Additionally, there is no time limit imposed on animals in their care. As long as the animal is medically and behaviorally healthy, it remains with them as long as it takes to be adopted. They are also dedicated to making their community safer and more compassionate for pets and pet owners. They are the only organization in Summit County with this mission.
As a local, non-profit organization, the Humane Society of Summit County continues to work tirelessly to give animals a second chance. By partnering with them and featuring adoptable dogs like Sonny Boy, we hope to bring attention to the wonderful animals in their care, giving them the opportunity to find the loving homes they deserve.

Adopting a dog is a life-changing experience for both you and the dog you bring into your home. Sonny Boy, along with many other dogs like him, are hoping to find a family to love and a home to call their own. If you’re ready to make a difference, consider adopting a dog from your local shelter, or visit the Humane Society of Summit County to meet their adoptable animals.
Remember, when you adopt, you’re not just gaining a new pet—you’re saving a life. And with the help of our partnership, you’ll be providing a loving home and a care package to help your new furry family member adjust to their new life with you.
Not ready to adopt? That’s okay! There are plenty of additional ways to support dogs waiting for a new home. Fostering is a great way to support not only the animal, but the shelter as well by freeing up much-needed space for additional animals to receive the proper care they need while they wait.
Dogs in foster homes also get the chance to experience life outside of a shelter, allowing them to adjust to different family members and other pets. This provides the shelter or rescue with more information on which home would be best for them.
If adopting or fostering is not possible for you, consider donating. Donations are a key part of many shelter and rescues ability to care for and feed the animals they house. By donating to shelters, like the Humane Society of Summit County, you are giving them the ability to access additional life-saving resources such as vet supplies and food.Â
Stay tuned for more adoptable dogs in the months ahead and learn how you can make a difference!
