Born in August 1967, Creme Puff held the world record of being the oldest cat alive at 38 years old, according to the 2010 edition of the Guinness World Records. She lived with her owner Jake Perry in Austin, Texas until August 2005. It’s interesting to note that she held the same title with a different owner, Grandpa Rex Allen, before his passing in 1998. Her uncommon diet of asparagus, eggs, and bacon may have extended her life. Have you ever known a cat to have coffee with cream in the morning? Creme Puff sure has! What we know for sure is that Jake Perry put his cat first and took extremely good care of all of them.
Brittany Kirk, Sugar’s fur-mom, was in shock when she found that her cat survived a fall out of her 19th-floor apartment window. Rescuers estimate that she may have fallen up to 200 feet. When the Animal Rescue League examined the cat, they had found no cuts, no broken bones, but minor bruising on her lungs. The League has since reminded pet owners to make sure they have screens on windows, to prevent anything like this happening to their pet while they’re away.
When you’re young, you’re told you can be anything you want to be, to have big dreams, and to work hard towards your goals. That doesn’t apply to just humans anymore. Meet Stubbs, a kitty who has been mayor of an Alaskan town for over 15 years. Stubbs’ reign began in 1997 in the town of Talkeetna, Alaska, where he never im-paw-sed sales tax, or interfered with anyone’s business. By 2017, he retreated from the public eye due to his old age, and Denali, his understudy, took over the paw-litical role. Alaskan residents have since praised Denali for his work and commend him for following in Stubbs’ pawprints.
